Dr Achuthsankar S. Nair is a senior Professor in the Department of Computational Biology and Bioinformatics, University of Kerala. In addition of being a scientist and teacher, he is a communicator with interdisciplinary interests. He had his education in College of Engineering, Trivandrum, Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, University of Cambridge and University of Kerala. In the present course, he integrates his science communication and aesthetic sense to motivate learners to produce better multimedia presentations.

About us

“Making Powerful Multimedia Presentation” is the first course being offered on-line in MOOC format by University of Kerala. The course is aimed at imparting perspectives and moderate skills in improving your multimedia presentation skills. If you are a person already into making Microsoft Office Power Point or Libreoffice-Impress, then you are eligible to sign up for this MOOC. The course is designed to have 6 very brief lectures and multiple choice questions (MCQs) accompanying each lecture. The assessment of the course will be through a critical evaluation of a given PPT and also producing a 3-slide PPT on any topic of your choice. There is no fees for this course, but for each run, there will be limitation on number of people on the course for each batch. A course facilitator will be available on-line to respond to queries within 24 hours.The course instructor will be also available online on announced time slots.
